Jessie was purchased by Western Sky in 2015 from one of Western Sky’s students. She has been a great addition to the Western Sky team. She is a great partner for our intermediate students, as she is very athletic and capable. Her gaits are comfortable and smooth for any rider to learn on, and her interesting color and soft coat make her a favorite of many younger lead-line students.

In her time at Western Sky, Jessie has been out on the trails and on adventures to Montana and Tonasket. She has been shown huntseat and Cowboy Dressage, and has been to to many Cowboy Dressage competitions including the Cowboy Dressage World Finals! She truly shines in the musical freestyle division, as she has won the walk jog amateur division of musical freestyle two years in a row! She has been shown Cowboy Dressage by some Western Sky students, and Dale’s husband Rus.

Jessie is a very versatile, talented horse. She has lots of experience and education, but can still provide a challenge for students’ continued growth. Whether being used for groundwork, a lead-line lesson, an advanced student or a show, Jessie’s talents and athleticism always truly shine. And when she has done well, she loves and appreciates a nice pat!
